nOt eXactly Mum's Day..(1)

HAPPY BELATED MOTHER'S DAY!

it was mother's day celebration. On Papa's side (include grandma and aunts from dad's side), we decided visit Sg. Pelek for some nice food. and off we go. drove all the way for 1-2 hrs b4 reaching the restaurant. i dunno wat exactly is the specialty of Sg Pelek. i guess we went there for the seafood and the ostrich meat. hmm.. i did not try tat. haha! i do not consider the place we went to eat was a beautiful place. the food was OK for me. but apparently my family members love the food. haha! tat was late lunch. after lunch, we headed to the nearby Bagan Lalang. aunts wanted to buy fish and the young ones.. meaning -us- hehe. only wanted to snap photos! hehe!

~BAGAN LALANG BEACH~

there a lot of school kids playing kites on the beach. it was 330 in the afternoon. it was BLOODY hot out there. it was so damn sunny and u can feel the sun ray burns ur skin. i wonder if the teachers in charge of this aware of the hot weather. i bet their parents do not know bout this outing. which parents would wan their kids having chance of getting skin cancer due to over exposure to the extremely hot and burning sun light? the kids look very happy and enjoy the kite flying session. but little do they know tat the sun light is actually very harmful to their skin. poor kids..~

it was hot although we stay under the shade. Uncle Teh decided to treat us ICE CREAM!

after having experience eating ice cream on a hot windy beach, i must advise everyone AVOID EATING ICE CREAM LIKE THIS ON THE BEACH AND SEASIDE OR ANYWHR WITH HOT AND STRONG WIND. the ice cream melted very fast! i put my ice cream like how i did in the pic, the dripping of the melted ice cream-the jus, blown by the strong wind and it went side ways. scary. within seconds the ice cream melts like nobody's biz. fuh!

ice cream session over. Pa and Ma went with grandma, grand-aunt, grand-uncle and aunt to check out the fishes the locals r selling nearby. left the kids with us together with Uncle Teh. hehe!

it was low tide. Henry, William and Huay went the the water side to check things out. i stay on the the side of the beach and did not follow as i was wearing heels and long pants. susah! nvr expected we wil come to the seaside. despite the hot weather, they manage to spot quite a number of tiny crabs on the sea sand.

cool! u cannot find this in Pd wei. hahaha! al we found in pd were those cengkerang hitam. yucks! haha!

it was windy and comfortable. Uncle decide to pratice his Tai chi here.

after about an hr or so we headed back to kjg. on our way back, Papa decided to stop by to buy some dragon fruits. niceeeeeeeeee..! we saw alot of stalls selling dragonfruits along the way when we came.

Sg Pelek is very famous of dragonfruits! u can c many houses with dragonfruit plants in their hse compound. some even selling outside their house.

at 1st i did not know wat were those. passed by many houses with these plants. weird~ later on, Pa explained to us tat cactus lookalike plants are Dragonfruit plant. cool! nvr see tat b4. the plant look like some guys with 'corn roll' hairstyle. like jason Castro of American Idol 2008 contestant. haha!
