Family Luncheon Getaway

Super late post on our Lunch 2 weeks ago.

Aunt Swee Ling decided to treat us lunch away from home. We had seafood lunch in Sungai Pelek. The restaurant we suppose to go was closed for wedding dinner that night. DENG!! So we went to another one nearby. Not too bad. Food was awesome! Overall, it was good minus the flies and the waiting. We waited so long for our food. Damn!! But it was all paid off when the food came, especially the "tit pan O jian". DAMN that was the nicest thing on the table! We had 1 plate at the beginning of the meal then order another plate after the 1st plate "vanished" in split of seconds. At the end of our lunch, Aunt Swee Ling and Uncle Teh asked us to order the 3rd plate! Everyone was craving for that. Besides the "O jian", the squid was good too. Small tiny and crunchy squids! Yummy! No pics available coz i think the place looks very ugly. haha! And the presentation of the food was not so nice, hence no pics. hehe! and i also do not know the name of the restaurant. CLEVER ME! hahaha!

After lunch, we decided to head to the nearby beach, Bagan Lalang to relax.
This is my grandma. She is not very fond of the idea of going SO far for a simple lunch haha!

Ber'tai chi-ing'

Nice weather! Nice wind! Nice scenery! So dia pun ber'tai chi' la. ;)

I saw a bunch of students cleaning up the beach. FuYooh! Good Good! I don't remember us doing that during secondary school, well not at the beach. We only spring clean our school area. That's all. and far away in the background is Sepang Gold Coast. Still building, not done yet after so many years. hmph!

We were so full after lunch. So we take a walk along the beach. Being full did not stop us from enjoying the beach with coconut drinks and the special 'chendol' with lychee at a nearby store. Later on, we headed to Tanjung Sepat, a small fishing village.

The road leading to Tanjung Sepat was long and narrow. Straight and very long road.

Beautiful sky though. haha!

Wahseh! Finally reach.

Hai Yew Hin.
Famous for its KOPI-O and 'Pau' freshly made in this small building..

right across the street. Just opposite the coffee shop.

I curi-curied snapped a photo inside the 'pau' making room. It is a family business. The people there had been making 'pau' for a very long time. You can see that by the speed they make the 'pau' and the quality of the 'pau'.

This is Kaya 'pau'. I can peeled off the skin in 1 shot. Skin came off in 1 piece. Smooth!!

The KOPI-O and kaya 'pau'. Other than kaya 'pau', they have plenty more types of 'pau' available. The nicest 'pau' i found out was the 'sang yuk pau'! absoyumdeliciously!! AWESOME!

They also served ambarella juice and 'taufu pok'.

This ambarella. A type of fruit juice my dad and mum used to drink alot when they were young. It is quite hard to find now. As in, not every restaurant knows about this type of fruit and not many restaurants serve this type of drinks.

On our way back, we stopped by Arowana chips factory. LOTSA CHIPS!! SCARY in a way. haha! Not easy to find this place. The road sign leading to this factory is unnoticeable. and HERE WE ARE!

A female worker packing chips. I saw 'roda' keropok. Yummy!! but DAMN! no small pack wan! Only left those big big pack! eeeeeyer! No small pack. Dad say dowan to those chips coz it was artificial. sob~ The chance of reminiscing old school days gone. haha! Frankly speaking, we use to eat a lot of 'roda' chips in the class when teachers were not looking. Even some of the prefects in the class teamed up to cover up. hahaha! Some la.. haha!

Upon leaving the place, i spotted this!

Some poop looking tea leaves.. i think. Not too sure what was that. But it attracted my attention haha!

Off we went all our way back to Kajang. Along the road back from Tanjung Sepat, there were some cows and goats crossing the road. Asked dad to stopped so i could snap a pic. Dad refuse.. yerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..............! ish! Goats look cute. haha!

I took this pic of Mangrove swamp on our way back. in a moving car. That explains the shaky view. Not anti shake k!! ish haha! quite a nice view if u were there yourself. Despite the low tide and some muddy ugly swamp, the view is pretty incredible. :)
