Spending winter solstice in Genting

Without the "tong yuen" of coz.

Pa mistaken "tong yuen" festival falls on 22nd instead of 21st. He planned to bring us all to Genting earlier not knowing winter solstice falls on that day. We missed the praying session and we could not be there for "ahma" to help her with the preparation for "dai yat zhi" (BIG day). Felt so guilty......~ However, we never missed the "tong yuen". hehe! Grandma saves some for us when we came back the next day.

We spent a night in Genting. There is nothing much to blog about genting. (especially when u went there with family hehe!) Really nothing much.. Except food! FOOD! hehe~

Saturday Dinner @ Ming Ren, Genting Hotel

Pa, goong and popo arrived at Ming Ren earlier. We were shopping excitedly in First World. On our way to Ming Ren, we spotted these!

GINGER BREAD MAN! in all shapes and sizes!

These were the food we had that night. The first dish that arrived was some vege.

Very nice. with baby mushrooms in the gravy! YUMMY!

Not sure what was this at first. But it was GOOOOD!

This is Shredded potatoes.
Looks simple but it was GOOD! A bit sour, a bit sweet n salty. a very unique taste! ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!

Next we had.. erm..

Fried eggplant!
slices of eggplant and shredded eggplants. I don't fancy eggplant very much but i ate this! hehe! Not bad indeed!

Then we had a another small plate of vege.

Not sure of its name but it had celery, onions, corn, carrots, SCALLOPS! and MACADAMIA NUTS! Yummy!

And finally, the most anticipated dish of all..

The Lamb!
OMG! This was very very very very GOOD! and very high in cholesterol. hahahaha! The shredded potatoes goes very well with the lamb.

Ming Ren food presentation is not very tempting (not pretty la) to me but the food seriously tasted very good! AND NOT CHEAP! That small plate of lamb actually cost more than 100 bucks! eeks!

Some ice-cream with walnut. And it had shredded lamb inside the ice cream. eeks!

Pa, Goong and Popo headed back to casino after dinner. Ma and Xhin went back to Hotel to rest while me, Huay and Binng walked around somemore.

Christmas is so near! Decorations are everywhere!! So beautiful..

I love Christmas! I love presents! I love Turkey! I love Christmas songs! I'm dreaming of a white and chilling Christmas! (dream on) OoOh! Can't wait!
